I have chosen a panel of judges to keep it fair. Last time I had far too many voters voting more than once. (like hundreds per person)
winner will be announced next Friday!
Thanks for your entries.
Good Luck!
We had a family reunion this summer at Harrison Park and it was one of the very few warm days we had and it was fairly humid. After the pot luck dinner was over and everyone was mingling….I turned around and saw my brother in law and Dad who had both been talking away to each other nod off into lala land…I grabbed my camera really quickly and got the above shot.. We all had a chuckle out of this picture once it was developed. The Family Reunion had totally exhausted them….but a good time was had by all.
This picture means a lot to me because it speaks to me that the boys really love our new puppy. The boys and the puppy play really hard together, so to capture a moment when both boy and puppy are still and sleeping is quite rare! It’s a peaceful moment that I don’t think most people would capture in a picture. I love the angles of Liam’s arms and the horizontal lines of the chair and iron work. When I first saw this picture my gaze was drawn down to the puppy and it took me a moment to appreciate what it was I was looking at. This picture reminds me of Norman Rockwell and his style of painting… the gaingly body of a young boy and the sleeping face of a puppy… how can it not get cuter than this??
This is one of my favorite summer images that we took in the backyard one hot, summer day. (the few we had). I love it because it captures the innocence of a child and portrays how happy children are with even the simplest things in life, such as a sprinkler on a hot day. Mason spent hours playing in the water with her little brother while I layed in the hammock and daydreamed, all the while listening to the precious sounds of laughter.

This is my favorite picture of Ava this summer
It was Avas First cookie and her dog Bentley also thought it could be his too, and I just love how Ava was watching him so he didn’t get her cookie
